I’m new into the ummah being that I’m a revert… but I have met the nicest people ever since the day that I accepted Islam. Maybe its Allah bringing good people to me or maybe our faith makes us into better people all around. There are so many sisters that helped me in my journey. Sisters that held my hand when first walking into the masjid, sisters who would come over everyday to pray with me, sister who cried with me in my moments of fear, sisters who opened their hearts and homes to me in our first introduction, sisters who want to introduce me to all their friends. So many sisters and so many situations that I could write a book of what these sisters have done for my heart. I love all my sisters in Islam and feel truely grateful for all these blessings that Allah has given me. And I pray that all these small deeds will inshAllah be the deeds to enter them into Jennah.
So I thank you all my sisters.
Special Thanks to The Islamic Center of East Lansing in Michigan. I may have moved but I carry you all in my heart.

May Allah bless and reward sister Ayesha of Ajman UAE, who was, for a short time, my Quran/Aqeedah teacher. I have benefited greatly from her lessons and more importantly, through her, Allah has opened my heart and put the love of knowledge in it, masha’Allah wa la howla wa laa quuwata illa billah.

HAHAHAHA!

They are at it again! Masha Allah la quwatta illah billah!

Insha Allah some REAL GOOD CHANGE comes out of this. :)

Salaamu alaikum
I’d like to pay tribute to (in no particular order):

1) Heba Alshareef of Discoverulife.com management - she’s awesome, ma sha Allah.

2) Amirah Mauthoor of Almaghrib Institute (www.almaghrib.org) - for being an exemplary hostess to me in Canada, and for never ceasing to amaze with her generosity.

3) Hannan Hassan, also for being an exemplary hostess to me in Canada.

4) Iman Kouvalis and Nidah of OptimizeIT…for their sheer design genius, their high levels of professionalism and for putting up with a nightmare client like me.

5) My best friend Azra, for being herself…a humanitarian, whose selflessness knows no bounds.

6) All my coaching clients who are an inspiration to me.

Jazakumullahu khayran…

May Allah bless Linda in all she does and all those who filled out the survey. Apart from the donation accumulated - I know of many sisters that wish to start a home business who will benefit from the information found in this survey.

Also last but not least - May Allah reward the efforts of all those who are all the date drives.

Keep the dates driving!!

I continue to be grateful for my mom Alhamdulillah. She converted a few years ago to Islam, after many years of resistance. I’ve seen a remarkable change in her and in turn, it has helped me in developing and strengthening my deen. Her complete transformation has provided me with another tangible illustration of how great Allah(swt) is. I ask Allah(swt) to keep her and I, and all of us, on the straight path. Ameen.

Just want to express my appreciation for having a sister like S—- in my life. She’s always been there for me and is masha’Allah such a good and thoughtful person! She’s one of the few people I know that really gives others the benefit of a doubt. She’s also extremely optimistic, which is a good energy to have around. May Allah protect her and strengthen her in imam and shower her life with blessings here in this dunya and in the akhira. Ameen!

I’d like to pay tribute to:

1) My mum, amazing lady, and my dad even thugh he’s man…can’t help it, he’s awesome. Masha’Allah.

2) Sr Shirien for giving me the chance to be on her PR team and revolutionising my thoughts

3) Also to 3 sisters who are in my life, Umm Asiyah, Sabiah and Aisha…gems who are my fav sisters as they have been with me from day one. When it seemed like you were alone and a stranger amongst many, these sisters joined me in a path to Allah.

4) My RE teacher Ms Akhtar for being an amazing teacher, and after going through a lot, she’s still going strong. SubhanAllah last year in our AS exams, she would remain back in school for hours just so we could revise. May Allah grant her Jannat al firdous. Ameen.

Very true yet sad. The focus has been about her struggles and hardships. Even after suffering from a heart attack, she still dedicated her time to work for the sake of Allah. As commendable as it is hearing/reading about her endeavors, most people are skeptical to give donations. Mainly because the focus should not have been about one person’s struggle but her work and the impact it will have on our muslim society as a whole and schools.

People have emailed me regarding that sister, asking whether we know her personally and such.

But truly her cause is great. InshaAllah, this project will pick up and people will realize the importance of it now

Sister who cares Said,

Is HalfDate.com visited mostly by teen & college-aged people? That could explain the problem with the donations. Is there any way to reach out to communities insha’Allah? Like masjids or something (i.e. people with money and influence) who could be willing to help? I think when it’s something where people aren’t in serious physical dire straits or are being oppressed or don’t have this huge fan base (thinking of how easy it seems to have been for Ummah Films to raise money just for a film) there are more challenges when it comes to collecting donations.

Try not to beat yourselves up or give up (despite the month ending). It’s never so easy to raise large amounts of money unless you’re surrounded by the wealthy.

I contacted the only sister I know in my area who sends out a lot of Islamic community related mass emails and things like that. I had contacted her about the drive before, but I did it again, stressing how important everything is. Insha’Allah she can get the word out and some good can come of it.

As Salaam’alaykum

All Praise and Thanks to Allah. The TSG project is a success for many good reasons:

1. The hard work of the HalfDate organization. May Allah shower each member with many blessings for their generosity.
2. The gift from Allah of the sisterhood and brotherhood in Islam. Many Muslims worked hard to help this project succeed.
3. The good will and generosity of Muslims who opened their hearts and gave their money for the sake of Allah and for our Muslim teachers and children!

I am deeply humbled that so many would choose to help with the TSG project even though most did not know me, yet they made an act of faith and helped. I am also so grateful for the many duas said for the project’s success!

HalfDate.com has demonstrated that when Muslims unite…we become strong and purposeful and can accomplish good. It is my hope and I will be saying duas that HalfDate sponsor many more worthy projects that give wonderful opportunities for many to do good, benefit others, and most importantly to serve Allah.

I know I am ready anytime Halfdate calls upon me to help them with future projects. I hope you also will be ready to help.

Salaams,
