U Drive

U Drive Has Failed :( But, let’s save it.

Please remember that the success of our Ummah, depends on individuals like YOU.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ

“Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves.” [Ra’ad 13: 11]

Yes, many of you may argue that it was an artificial goal with an artificial deadline. But the lesson learned is: 1- Never have a wishy washy target :) 2- If you don’t feel the urgency about the conditions facing the Ummah, they will remain artificial to you.

May Allah forgive our sins and wake us up to help ourselves.

You + HalfDate = Done, in-sha-Allah. is NOT a charity, but a PROMOTION site for good causes. So when we feature a school or an individual, donations go directly to the end beneficiaries.

Month: Rajab 1429/July 2008 (end date July 27th)

What’s U Drive?

U stands for YOU as well as UMMAH!

Summary: Click here

If you don’t want to read… watch this:

You are about to make history…

to cultivate into

the BIGGEST Sadaqa “driver” on the Internet.

YES, YOU! But with the help of your lord, the most powerful, Allah.

Your lord who told Ibrahim (peace and prayers be upon him and his family):

The call is on you, and the delivery is on us.

Your lord who made an unlettered person Muhammad (peace and prayers be upon him and his family) into the greatest teacher in history.

But, why do you need to help?

Because you want to. You like to earn the pleasure of Allah, and you want to make a difference in the Ummah. And with HalfDate, a difference is made every Hijri month, alhamduillah.

What if you don’t help?

The Ummah loses. You lose. HalfDate loses… because we are about to run out of juice.

So far, HalfDate’s core team has only one programmer and one promoter.

But, in-sha-Allah, with your help, you earn more rewards with exciting projects, such as Ramadan quiz site, Halal loan fund, awareness campaigns about Muslims around the world, and you get to accomplish BIG FAT projects like this appeal.

Ok, Bismillah, I’m in. Now what?

In this DateDrive, you will invite others to join HalfDate mailing list.

What’s the target number?

You decide.

Allahu Akbar, let's strive for

    assalamualaikum brothers and sisters,

come on, dont be upset. i’m sure those ppl who hvnt sign up will come back eventually. Maybe they are busy browsing sth while opening the link to this wonderful site.

Masha Allah, you all are doing a good job. But remember everyone, the qadr of importance in sadaqah are:

1)time (have u visited the sick, poor n elderly recently?), please spend time in the elderly folks house. they need companions.
2)knowledge (have u shared what u know with ur bros n siss recently?, do some da’wah to the dhimmi? make them think!)
3)money (if u hv extra penny, why not donate it to reliable organization like sunnipath etc)

  • Mirweiss Sanli

    Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

Alhamdulillah this is a really good website and it is an honour to be part of it.
May Allah make this website be successful and may He reward us all for our efforts.

  • Masum

    As Salamu Alaikum.

Let us come together and make this Sadaqa engine roar Insha Allah.

  • Muslim Robot

    Asalamu alaikum

To the owner of the site. Have a plan or procedures ready if you should meet 1 million users. Allah will only give you what you are prepared to handle. InshaAllah.

Do you have a chartable corporation? Once things go big time you have to be ready.

I can see this being a success.

My suggestion for all members is to focus on one person to join the mailing list. A friend, family member etc. Explain the concept make sure he/she logs in and registers.

If every single person on the mailing list does this in 14 iterations we will reach 1.38 million. And if it goes another iteration then 2.7 million. At these numbers we can build a masjids, schools, make massive dawah donations. Allahu alim

  • Taher Shaikh

May Allah grant then the success.

    Assalamu Alaikum,

I joined this group because I believe it is time for Muslims to stop feuding about what needs to be done, come together and do something. In sha Allah this group can bring a number of Muslims together, and focus our intent for good to make a difference.

It is also good to know that even while I struggle, I can lend a hand to someone who has more difficulty than I.

May Allah bring growth and effectiveness to this group.

  • Anisa

    Asalaamu Alaiakum wa Rahmatullah
This is to the skeptics who pass by the site, this WILL be a success and guess what YOU can be part of it!!!
If we doubt our goals and projects, then how will we ever get things done?
We have to have a positive attitutude, we have to put in as much effort as possible, and leave the rest up to Allah SWT. The brothers and sisters at HalfDate are not asking for much, even if you dont have anything, POST a good word (comment), that will also be support 😀
Insha’Allah all the Muslims who pass by the site will atleast leave a good word for their brothers and sisters in Islam!!!
May Allah SWT reward you, ameen
    Wa’alaykum Asalaam wa Rahmatullah

salaam brothers and sisters. I think it is and obligation for every muslim who visits this site and knows what it is about to ad you’re email to the mailing list and to post a comment. If we can help with such a litle effort we have to do it. The muslims have no one to depend on, so we have to do it our selves.

  • younes

Ps: I am from antwerp Belgium

  • Zamzam

I had to join the mailing list after watching the video on YouTube. I think it’s an obligation for all Muslims to participate in this cause.

😀 It feels good to give, even if it’s a half date or pleasant word. Don’t miss that good feeling you get by joining the mailing list n’ writing a comment insha Allah.

May Allah reward our brothers and sisters behind this cause with the sweetest date in Jannah n’ unite their vision.

    Why haven’t you joined yet!?

  • Layyinah

    as salaamu alaykum.

I live in the southwestern area of the U.S. I joined this group because I believe that together, if Allah ta’ ala, wills it, together we can affect more change than we can individually. Also, the site isn’t asking for a lot in the way of time or resources. Finally, one of their first endeavors addressed the converts. As a convert, I was touched and pleased with this particular area, Masha’Allah.

I pray that Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, will grant us success in this present life, purify our intentions and grant us Paradise. Ameen.

    ma salaama

  • farhana

My friend posted the url to me. Hope Muslim all over the world can reunite and work together to bring back the empire of Islam. Hopefully we can contribute something to Islam through halfdate. Brothers and sisters, regardless the race and citizenship, we are like one body..lets work together and boycott all the Israel products. This is one of our way to help and support our brothers and sisters who are suffering in Iraq, Afghanistan, Thailand, Palestine and Bosnia. If we reunite and put an effort to improve ourselves insyaAllah, Allah s.w.t will help us and change our current situation. “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves…” [Ar-Rad (13) : 11].
Remember, if we do all these MAINLY because of Allah and to help this religion, insyaAllah all our efforts will be counted. May Allah s.w.t bless us and halfdate be success. AMEEN… = )

i found abt half dat thru a video on and insha ALLAH i’ll try to promote it via the flyer system

  • Jihad is great Concept, we as united Muslims should support each other, no matter what. that is unity, we should shrug away the Whispers from the Satan ,help each other, The Jews now this despite all there differences they were still able to make join and support each other to form a State, in a land that doesn´t want them. because they know strength is in groups. Even if this is a simple Concept ( we should still support it to encourage each other. and to help each other out to jointly make Healthy Muslim Society.

Hope this site can unite all the muslims in helping our less fortunate brothers and sisters all around the world. well, who else can help them if it is not us, fellow muslims? this is the least that we can do and I hope i can do more in future, insyaAllah =)

  • abookhaalid

this is truly a compelling and exciting concept… such that i’d readily pay dues to be a member of. in my estimation, is the first internet-based service for muslims that holds, inshaa’Allaah, the blueprint for real success. to the founders and all it’s supporters, shukraan… and hold-fast to the rope.
