As salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

May this message reach you in the best of Iman.

Our sister in Islam Umm Aminah is in need of our help she has to make her home presentable for the social services to get her children back from her mother. Long story.

The case worker called me (Nadia) today to verify if her home will be suitable for inspection since We, with the help of Allah at Women Affairs of AMH Inc., have been assisting her the best we can.

However, we need everyone’s help now. ASAP EMERGENCY.

She goes back to court in about two weeks. She has one week to make sure her place suitable place in their eyes for her children to live.

She is in need of $2,500.00 to buy the following items insha’Allah.

BUNK BED (for the children) ASAP
SINGLE BED (for her) she now sleeps on a portable cot
DINNING ROOM TABLE ASAP
BLANKETS

Al Hamdulilah in all circumstances, as I go through this page I can bearly see the screen because my eyes are filled with tears. May Allah reward the believers who when they are called upon to assist me with making preparations to receive my sweet darling children back, respond without hesitation or proclamation. Subhannah Allah! In Surah Al Baqarah, Ayat 177 Allah says;

Assalaamu ‘Alayikum,

I wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention if you happen to ever be in this situation as well and money is very tight. Go to craigslist.org, its very easy to search and people give away these types of items daily in good condition (even brand new stuff they give away for what ever reason). So take advantage of this site especially in cases like these where you get these quickly without having to pay much money or any money at all . If this lady is living in the US Insha’ Allah and I’m willing to bet on this that she can get that majority of these items for free and be able to pick them up the same day that you inquire about them. So again, for those who are not able to donate money and for those who need items, if you have access to an internet check out craigslist.org

True Story:
My mother got a free leather sofa and love seat from some people, we did not have to pay anyting at all and the furniture is in very good condition. Any while my mom was making sure there was nothing in the seats when we got the sofa home she discovered a card with arabic writing on it, and it had the word Allah on it, I think it was like an eid card. Anywho so the people who gave us the furniture (we did all of this by phone, we just had someone pick it up and take it to our house) were Muslim and did not even know that they were donating to Muslims. So I thought that was pretty cool. Just wanted to share how easy it is to get these things if we just search for them.

Being a resident at the Womens Affairs AMH shelter I know that this is a greatly needed asset to the community. This will give families (having both parents) the ability to stay together and not have to face the extra stress and horror of being split up.
