my mom(nadia auxila mcintosh/the owner of al-mumtahinah and founder) has been very helpful in the community. she has worked with many different sisters and is learning more everyday. most sisters who live(d) in the shelter are acomplishing and/or have accomplished their goals with the help of my mother with her services. it makes me happy to see her help others . and the people who she helps are happy too.

I know of quite of few people that were help by women affairs of almumtahinah home inc. The sisters that were helped were homeless and had no placed to turn to, upon finding out about the shelter they were relieved to have placed to stay, they also were helped to find resources to get a job and other assistance, some of the sisters were able to get established with housing of their own.
