Summary:

I’ve a very small favor to ask of you. I’m working on a project in my uni called “I have a dream”. The main idea behind this is to wake up the Muslim youth into starting to dream for themselves and for the world and to contribute positively to society. I’ll be helping to make a “Dream Arch”. An arch made with dreams on small rectangular pieces of paper and for that I need a lot of dreams. I would be really grateful if you could send me just one of your dreams that you hope to achieve for yourself or for the world in general. HalfDate is starting a new initiative called: Award Drives. Basically, these are quick drives to recognize the service of organizations and individuals. The goal of the award is to encourage Muslim organizations to pursue excellence while thinking outside the box.

One of these award categories is: Creativity (trying to get money other than donations)

Summary:

Many families are suffering in this severe winter. So, to help them and in memory of
Abu Samah, the father of one of HalfDate volunteers who passed away this week (Tue Jan 26, 2010) we invite you to participate. So, if you wish you can give Sadaqh on his behalf, inshaAllah. A’ishah (rahimahullaah) reported that a man asked Allaah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), “My mother had a sudden death, and did not have the chance to bequeath anything. Had she been able to do so, I think she would have given Sadaqah. Would she or I get any rewards if I give Sadaqah on her behalf?” He (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied, “Yes! So give Sadaqah on her behalf” -Collected by Al-Bukhari, Muslim and others.

Summary: Umm Aminah’s current place is not suitable for her children. Therefore, the social services took her children away. They will let the children back if in two weeks Umm Aminah can prepare her place for the children, which requires about $2500.

Our sister in Islam Umm Aminah is in need of our help she has to make her home presentable for the social services to get her children back from her mother. Long story.

The case worker called me (Nadia) today to verify if her home will be suitable for inspection since We, with the help of Allah at Women Affairs of AMH Inc., have been assisting her the best we can.

However, we need everyone’s help now. ASAP EMERGENCY.

She goes back to court in about two weeks. She has one week to make sure her place suitable place in their eyes for her children to live.

She is in need of $2,500.00 to buy the following items insha’Allah.
