I am from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. and I found out about HalfDate.com through a Muslim friend. I must say that this facility, organization or association of Muslims from all over the world is quite impressive, seeing that so much beneficial support has been given to people in need, and the Muslims are fulfilling their requirements of Sadaqah with just merely posting their Dua for the Ummah. This website is amazing, Masha Allah, and I hope it gets bigger by the day and is capable of accomplishing bigger goals. Of course, what this organization is doing currently, its DateDrives, are Masha Allah, is enormous. I will be raising awareness about HalfDate.com through my blog and Insha Allah, I will be able to do much more, collaborating with HalfDate.

Dear Half Date,
I am Syuhada from Malaysia. I was referred to Half Date by a dear friend of mine, who blogged about it in http://anythingarian.blogspot.com. She then called me the night after she wrote it and told me how interesting this initiative is. I was hooked from that moment on.
So today I spent some time reading, and what I liked about Half Date is that it reminds me that the idea of Sadaqah requires only a little but the impact that it has on the recipients is sometimes large beyond imagination.
I am on your side on this effort, insha Allah.

I got entrigued by the name and where it came from. When I heard the explanation, I decided I have to join this worthy cause.
