As you can imagine, there are more needs than HalfDate can dedicate a dateDrive for. So, we list some of those requests here.
Dr. Ali Haleem is a devoted husband, loving father and dedicated professor at Texas A&M University. In April 2008, he became ill and was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. His doctors say a liver transplant is his only hope.
The average liver transplant costs approximately $500,000, and Ali’s health insurance will not cover the transplant. He also will need a lifetime of follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications to remain healthy. The cost of post-transplant medications can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month, and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.
Ali’s health is deteriorating, and he is running out of time. Unfortunately, he must raise $220,000 before he can even be added to the transplant waiting list.
Please help! Your gift to the NFT Texas Liver Fund will enable NFT to assist with Ali’s transplant expenses. To make an online donation, please click on the link beneath his photo. If you prefer to mail your gift, please send it to NFT Texas Liver Fund, 5350 Poplar Ave., Suite 430, Memphis, TN 38119. Please be sure to write “in honor of Ali Haleem” in the memo line.
